Our story Started way back in early 2018, then known as Rusari by Narjis, it has now come a long way in understanding clients' needs, wants, and visions, with a strong regime to make modest fashion easy and accessible.

What started as a local search online for everyday college hijab and clothing options led to a realization by our founder, Narjis Fatema, that she is not alone in the struggle to find the balance between trending fashion, comfort, and modesty. Her determination for the much-required change of this industry's face led to the creation of 'Rusari.'

She made the promise to herself that she would create a platform to deliver what the other young girls around her were ardently searching for - the perfect hijab ensemble for any and every occasion.

To aid Rusari along this wonderful journey, came Udhyam, a foundation that supports budding entrepreneurs and conducts boosting entrepreneurial programmes. When situations looked bleak, it was Udhyam that gave her the much needed push and showed her the Moon that she was aiming for.

Rusari makes a conscious effort to work ethically with manufacturers and suppliers from start to finish, wherein everyone is treated and paid fairly - which is one of our binding brand values. The packaging can also be recycled and biodegradable, keeping in mind the importance of the environment during the production processes. Being a fashion brand, this is a mandatory aspect that we consider as our prime responsibility. All our raw materials are eco-friendly, with strictly no use of any harmful materials such as polyester. We strive to follow the noble practice of working mainly with natural and sustainable fibers.
